Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pregnancy Information

Monash Health recently published a Clinical Guideline regarding Coronavirus Infection in Pregnancy.*

It provides useful information for expectant parents regarding the virus and its effects, plus testing recommendations etc. It is easy to tab through the links relevant to your individual situation. Please feel free to contact Dr Jurcevic if any further advice is needed.

As always, please practise good hygiene by washing your hands often with soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitisers when soap and water not available and avoid touching your face. Clean and disinfect surfaces and frequently used objects such as mobiles, keys and wallets. Avoid public transport and groups of people and avoid close contact with anyone displaying respiratory symptoms.

*This Clinical Guideline has been developed by the Women’s & Newborn Program in collaboration with Infectious Diseases Unit and the Monash Health Emergency Department Leadership Team. The guideline is underpinned by the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection in Pregnancy Version 1: Published Monday 9 March, 2020.
