I offer highly committed, competent and experienced care for all obstetric matters, including high- risk obstetrics. My specific and advanced training in High Risk Obstetrics, along with extensive knowledge and experience in obstetric maternal and foetal disorders, means I am in a unique position to be able to manage numerous maternal medical issues in pregnancy.

What is a High-Risk Pregnancy? There are a range of factors that can contribute to a high-risk pregnancy. Some of these factors include:

  • Maternal Medical Disorders (autoimmune, thrombophilia, renal, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, gastroenterological)
  • Multiple Pregnancy (twins and multiples)
  • Past pregnancy complications (prematurity, cervical incompetence, pre eclampsia, hypertension)
  • Foetal Abnormalities and Birth Defects
  • Recurrent Miscarriage and Foetal Loss
  • Your age, Weight, Height

Your individual situation and needs will guide your pregnancy management, which is always highly personalised and patient centered.

Specialist Training in High Risk Obstetrics

Did you know there is obstetric sub specialist training for complicated pregnancies? I have undertaken specific and advanced training in the obstetrical, medical and surgical complications of pregnancy and their effect on mother and foetus. Having undertaken this specialist training both locally and interstate, I have advanced knowledge and experience in obstetric maternal and foetal disorders. My experience spans twins and multiples, genetics, prematurity management, recurrent miscarriage and foetal loss amongst other high-risk conditions. In my role as Head of Unit in Obstetrics at the Royal Women’s Hospital, as well as in my private practice, I see some of the most complicated pregnancies around.
